Urge Senators to Stop Harmful Medicaid Regulations
In 2007, the Bush Administration instituted major changes in the rules for how states could receive federal funding for Medicaid, the federal health program for low-income individuals. These changes could result in massive cuts in the program that would have a ripple effect through each state's economy. On April 23, the House overwhelmingly passed HR 5613, legislation that would put a hold on these harmful regulations. Now the Senate must pass this bill in order to safeguard the Medicaid program.
