If confirmed, Professor Johnsen will make recommendations and decisions about civil rights and liberties on a range of issues, including: criminal justice, torture, voting rights, and immigration. It is imperative that this leadership position be filled by someone with the experience and expertise to run an efficient and effective office, and someone with the moral character and proven ethical record to run an honest and just office.
